This morning we gathered at the high school campus to marvel at God’s plan for our school and praise Him for His faithfulness as we cut the ribbon for the finished construction on the high school building! What began as a dream is now four beautiful, modern floors filled with the next generation of Christian citizens and leaders.
Thank you to the many donors and families whose generosity have made, and continue to make, an impact that will echo here and for eternity. We are grateful for your continued partnership and prayers.
Kindergarten is a big transition, and it can be overwhelming for both kids and parents.
We`re hosting a special seminar on Tuesday, November 7 to help parents understand the key signs and factors of Kindergarten readiness, and how to approach this exciting milestone.
Childcare is provided for this event! RSVP on our website >> icsva.org/krs
On this gloomy Tuesday, we’re celebrating some recent @icsva_athletics Warrior Wins:
⚽️Varsity boys soccer beat Fairfax Homeschool, 3-1 and Chelsea Academy, 6-4
⚽️MS boys soccer won against King Abdullah Academy, 4-2 and Trinity Meadowview, 4-3
🏐JV and Varsity girls volleyball teams beat Oakcrest Academy, 2-1 and 3-0
🏃♀️🏃HS cross country competed recently at Leesylvania State Park; placing in the top twenty were Agnes C. (3rd), Grace F. (17th), Braxton E. (17th), and Lennon F.(18th).
It’s a privilege playing these worthy competitors as we develop godliness, leadership, and excellence through athletics.
Each year, our high school students begin the school year with a retreat, digging into God`s Word together and building friendships. Each student reflects on a trait to live out for the year, writing it on a rock and adding that rock to a pile begun when our high school opened.
Throughout the retreat, students meditated on this year`s theme verse: "Jesus answered, `I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.`" -John 14:6.
We are excited to see what the year holds for these young men and women!

Last Friday we had the privilege of hosting our entire K-12 community for our annual Back to School picnic! It was so much fun gathering together for a car wash, giant bounce houses, face painting, and, of course, hot dogs and concessions. It was a great way to kick off the school year!
The 2023-24 school year has begun! Join us in praying for the year ahead. Welcome back, everyone!
This school year`s theme is Proverbs 3:5-6. Continuing the long-standing bonus verse tradition begun by Head of School Emeritus Mr. Danish, together we will pursue the path of freedom this year, learning what it means to trust in our good and sovereign God.

As the school year begins, there will be many opportunities to meet with Dr. Stevens, including small group gatherings for parents (families, check ParentSquare for details!). Please join us in praying for him and his family as they settle in to the area, and for the school year ahead!

✨Highlights from this year`s high school production of Shakespeare`s "A Midsummer Night`s Dream"✨
We are so proud of our first graders! Students walked down a red carpet and expressively read several fable adaptations for their families at our annual First Grade Readers Theater. 📖🤩
A group of fourth grade students created businesses and sold their hand-made products at a special fair last week. Enterprises included "It`s Time to Slime," "Terrific Trinkets," and "Gooey Goodies" and students of all grades (and teachers!) were lining up for our young entrepreneurs` awesome products.
