on the Cherry Blossom River Cruise on

Friday, April 14 at 7 pm

  • BOARDING: Boarding time begins at 6:30 pm. The boat will begin cruising at 7:15 pm. Anyone who has NOT boarded by 7:10 pm will be left behind. Boat will dock at 9:45 pm and all students MUST be accounted for by 10:00 pm!
  • ATTIRE: FORMAL (see dress code requirements below). Anyone who does NOT comply with dress code requirements risks being sent home and missing the cruise. NO EXCEPTIONS.

BOYS

Formal/special occasion – Suit OR tuxedo and dress shoes

  • NO slides or athletic shoes
  • NO jeans or t-shirts
  • NO baseball hats

GIRLS

Formal/special occasion – full length dress or pantsuit/jumpsuit

  • NO strapless attire; neckline should not be lower than 3” from the collarbone (width of your hand)
  • NO backless dresses, no back seam lower than mid back
  • NO cutouts or slits higher than the knee

**Students who choose NOT to abide by the above standards will be asked to call parents for a change of clothes and may risk missing boarding time for the boat. NO EXCEPTIONS. If you are concerned with your attire choices, please talk to Ms. Reno or Ms. Dowdell ahead of time. All attire standards must be followed for students AND guests.

  • GUESTS: Limit ONE guest per ICHS student. Guest forms (attached to this post) must be completed and submitted to the HUB for approval NO LATER than THURSDAY, MARCH 23 at 8:00 am. Purchase your guest ticket AFTER you have received approval.
  • TICKETS: Tickets for ICHS students and guests must be purchased online by THURSDAY, MARCH 30 at 8:00 AM. Tickets are $95 per person and will be handed out at school. Each student and guest MUST have a purchased ticket to board the boat.
  • LOCATION: Boarding for the Cherry Blossom will occur at the Alexandria City Marina (0 Cameron Street, Alexandria VA) located by the Chart House. There is plenty of public parking available for student drivers.
