A Culture of Adventure & Global Perspective
International travel enhances the classroom experience and empower students to see the world through a broader lens. TravelTerm invites them to engage with new cultures and challenges, and the junior-senior service trip to Kenya allows students to lead camps, chapels, and outreach efforts in partnership with a sister school. These unique, immersive experiences foster leadership, perspective, and a mindset ready for global citizenship.
Mentoring that Matters
Student Services helps students choose the right level of challenge and talks with them about how those choices relate to their future goals after graduation. Faculty and staff also lead discipleship groups twice a week and meet individually with teens to sort through academic or spiritual questions.

Leadership is a cornerstone of our high school culture. Seniors who want deeper responsibility can apply for the Leadership Internship Program. Interns serve in meaningful placements across our school and community, participate in readings like StrengthsFinder, and join quarterly roundtable discussions.
Our high school program culminates with a deeply-researched senior capstone presentation that articulates their personal leadership model.

Grades 9-12
A Clear Path Toward Calling, Career, and College
At ICS, students receive guidance at every grade level on course planning, assessments, enrichment opportunities, and the skills needed to make informed decisions for the future.
9th Grade
Freshmen are introduced to the planning process through tools that help them explore their interests and understand how high school coursework influences their options after graduation. They also begin preparing for standardized testing through PSAT orientation.
10th Grade
Sophomores learn how to explore colleges and training programs, gaining exposure to different pathways. They also receive counseling that connects their current academic opportunities with their long-term goals.
11th Grade
Juniors take significant steps toward college readiness. They refine their college list, begin the application process, meet with college representatives on campus, and build their academic resume with leadership and enrichment activities. Counselors help students interpret PSAT results and plan next steps for testing and applications.
12th Grade
Seniors receive personalized support as they complete applications and prepare for life after graduation. Counselors review essays, offer guidance on scholarship and financial planning, and help students finalize decisions with confidence. Letters of recommendation are written by faculty who know each student well, ensuring a thoughtful and individualized reflection of their strengths.

How Teens Find Their Place at ICS
The school year kicks off with an off-site retreat that helps students build friendships and strengthen their faith. Then, they find an authenticity in the classroom and in the hallways that parents tell us they haven’t seen elsewhere. Students are quick to welcome new classmates, and there is a wide variety of opportunities to find a place to grow and belong.
Teachers cheer in the stands at games, lead service trips, talk with students after class, and check in at twice-weekly discipleship groups. It’s the kind of everyday presence that helps develop the whole student, inside and outside of the classroom.
Parents also have the opportunity to stay connected, which creates a level of trust and partnership that strengthens the whole community. The result is a calm, attentive atmosphere where students feel comfortable trying new things, speaking up in class, and building friendships that feel honest and lasting.
Protection and Care Across the Day
ICS takes a comprehensive approach to student safety, combining physical security measures with the kind of emotional support that helps teens feel safe, seen, and loved throughout the school day. The high school campus sits in a quiet residential area, tucked back from major roads, with secure building access and controlled entry points. A police officer is present in the parking lot each day, and a dedicated security officer monitors activity inside the building.
Emotional safety matters just as much. Teens have access to a nurse, a clinical psychologist, and additional student services staff who help them navigate both academic challenges and everyday concerns. Plus, because teachers know students well, adults often notice when teens are experiencing challenges and step in early with support.
