Strengthening athletic skills, purpose, & identity
At Immanuel Christian School, our athletic program exists to glorify God by developing student athletes who pursue excellence in both competition and character. Through interscholastic athletics, students are given meaningful opportunities to grow in discipline, teamwork, perseverance, and leadership.
We believe some of life’s most formative lessons are learned on the field and court, lessons that extend far beyond the classroom. Athletics teach students how to work together toward a common goal, how to compete with integrity, how to celebrate with humility, and how to respond to challenges with faith and resilience. In both victory and defeat, we encourage our athletes to trust in the Lord, honor Him in their efforts, and support one another as a team.
Our coaches play a vital role in this mission. We are committed to equipping our athletes with skilled, Christ centered mentors who invest in their growth as competitors and as young men and women of faith. Coaches not only teach the fundamentals of the game but also model wisdom, character, and a commitment to Christ.
While we strive to build competitive programs, our highest priority is to uphold God’s truth. As 1 Timothy 4:8 reminds us, “physical training is of some value, but godliness has value for all things, holding promise for both the present life and the life to come.” Our goal is for every athlete to leave ICS strengthened not only in skill, but in faith, purpose, and identity in Christ.
