Coach Johnson brings more than 25 years of coaching experience to Immanuel Christian, with a background that spans high school, club, and elite development programs. He has led boys’ varsity programs at Del Norte High School and Hope Christian in Albuquerque, as well as Village Christian in Los Angeles, and was named VCAC Coach of the Year in 2025. In addition to his high school coaching, he has worked extensively in player development, coaching club soccer and Olympic Development Programs in both New Mexico (U17) and Cal South (U16). Several of his former players have advanced to compete at the collegiate level, as well as professionally in Liga MX, MLS, and USL. Beyond the touchline, Coach Johnson has over two decades of experience as a referee, including more than 20 seasons officiating NCAA Division I matches and four seasons in Major League Soccer (MLS). He brings a deep understanding of the game, a commitment to excellence, and a desire to invest in the growth of his players both on and off the field. Coach Johnson also serves as the Lead Teaching Pastor at Immanuel Bible Church.
