Swim & Dive at Immanuel Christian School
The ICS swim & dive program is offered for students in grades 7–12, with varsity competition available for grades 8–12. The program has produced state appearances and strong performances in each of the past three seasons and has seen two alumni continue their swimming careers at the Division I level. Additional developmental opportunities are also offered during the spring.

Meet the Coach
coach burgess
Varsity coach
Coach Burgess has supported the Immanuel Christian School swim program for the past three years. A career Army officer and avid athlete, he has competed in a variety of endurance sports and trained with masters swim programs while also leading functional fitness and strength and conditioning development for special operations and airborne units. Coach Burgess was named VCAC Swim Coach of the Year in 2026 and is passionate about developing athletes of character who pursue excellence both in and out of the pool. He is grateful to work alongside a dedicated group of coaches and families who help support and strengthen the ICS swim program.
