Interactive lessons spark curiosity, engaging discovery centers encourage exploration, and hands-on activities and field trips immerse students in the concepts, ensuring mastery so that they are ready for first grade and beyond. We recognize that play is the work of learning at this age, and our classrooms are designed to make the most of it.

Integrated Biblical Perspective

Each class is taught through the lens of the Truth of scripture.

Daily devotions in morning circle time set the tone for the day as students hear God’s Word and pray for each other
Engagine Weekly chapels are a joyful time of worship and teaching for our littlest ones.
Students memorize scripture throughout the year, hiding God’s Word in their little hearts.

Learning Through Service

Service is a core component of an ICS education – and kindergarten is no exception! As part of their science lessons, students take care of their outdoor courtyard, planting and pulling weeds as they serve the school community. Kindergarteners also visit the senior citizens who are part of IBC’s Grand Life ministry, sharing songs and scripture over lunch.

A treasured ICS tradition, kindergarten students also serve alongside seniors, developing sweet buddy relationships and pursuing service together.

Small class sizes, alongside literacy specialists, allow our experienced teachers to provide personalized attention and differentiated learning opportunities for students, with additional support and enrichment as needed to ensure each student reachers his/her potential.

At ICS, students receive guidance and instruction to help them thrive academically, socially, and spiritually. Here’s how we inspire purpose and growth in our youngest scholars.

Foundational Literacy

Using a reasearch-based multisensory curriclum, our program focuses on growing confident, competent readers and creative, expressive writers.

Firm Grasp of Mathematics

Hands-on lessons ensure students learn the basics of mathematics that will enable them to thrive in higher-level math and science courses.

Kindness & Confidence

We take the time to help our students learn the relational skills needed to develop healthy friendships and navigate each season of life with empathy, kindness, and confidence.

A Vibrant, Growing Faith

A Biblical perspective is woven into our curriculum to enable students to encounter Jesus Christ throughout their day. Our hope and prayer is that our students will learn more about God, how much he loves them, and who he’s created them to be as they grow into the gifts and abilities that he has given them.

ICS has a strong educational program and we…also wanted our son to be brought up with a Christian worldview and have teachers that pray for/with our son and help him to grow in his relationship with Christ. ICS has exceeded our expectations and the longer we are a part of this amazing school, the more we love it. Our son has grown as a student, as a person, and in his love of Christ and we look forward to seeing his growth in future years at ICS!

Protection & Care Across the Day

ICS takes a comprehensive approach to student safety, combining physical security measures with the kind of emotional support that helps teens feel safe, seen, and loved throughout the school day. All building entrances are locked, and kindergarten classes are loctaed in a private, secure wing. A police officer is present in the parking lot each day, and a dedicated security officer monitors activity inside the building.
