Welcome to the 2026-2027 School Year!
Welcome to the 2026-2027 school year! What a blessing it is to welcome over 620 students this year, pursuing our mission to partner with families to inspire students for purposeful lives of learning, godliness, and service. We are honored by the opportunity to come alongside parents to shepherd children’s hearts and minds, equipping them for what God has prepared for them.
I am so thankful for the called and committed faculty and staff God faithfully provides each year. During our in-service meetings, I was encouraged to see both new and returning team members unite, first as followers of Christ, and then in our shared commitment to caring for your children and helping them flourish.
This year’s theme is GLORY. Our theme verses are found in Psalm 3:3-4:
But you, O LORD, are a shield about me, my glory, and the lifter of my head. I cried aloud to the LORD, and he answered me from his holy hill.
As we integrate the truth of these verses in a variety of ways throughout the year, the statement “my glory” is a powerful point of reflection as we begin the year.
When David uses the framing of “my glory”, he acknowledges the source of his identity, strength, and worth. David’s gifts, abilities, achievements, and resources could not produce true glory; his eternal provider, healer, almighty, personal God, Yahweh, is the source.
What a joy it is to recognize God as the foundation of all we do here at Immanuel Christian School. We are grateful for God’s personal and absolute presence in our lives, which gives us confidence as we seek to walk faithfully in the moments, days, weeks, and months ahead.
While we know there will be triumphs and trials throughout this school year, our foundation and source is ever-present and all-powerful. This realization bolsters our resolve to live faithfully, empowered by the Holy Spirit’s work in our lives.
In Partnership,
Dr. Nathan Stevens
