The truth of Scripture is integrated throughout our curriculum, and spiritual growth is at the center of our school life. Through regular devotions, Bible class, chapel, and scripture memorization, it is our prayer that students come to know who God is and what it means for their lives.
Growing in Godliness through Intentional Practices
Weekly Chapel
Lower School, Middle School, High School
Students gather weekly for a time of worship and a lesson from a speaker. School staff and faculty, Immanuel Bible Church and other local pastors, missionaries, and others regularly join our Chapel to encourage and exhort students.
In high school, students have the opportunity to lead their peers in worship via Chapel Band and in high school, and all students assist in leading Chapel on a rotating basis and summarizing the lessons for their peers and parents.
Scripture Study & Memorization

Starting in first grade, students intentionally study, regularly memorize, and recite scripture. These passages grow with students as they grow, etching the gospel, the character of Christ, and His call to us in their hearts and minds. Our prayer is that these verses will be a deep well of comfort and encouragement in their lives.
Small Group Discipleship

Small groups offer a safe, confidential space for students to study the Bible, pray together, ask hard questions, and encourage one another. Faculty and staff members mentor students and help them apply the teachings of their Chapel time and Bible classes. Groups are grade-specific and are comprised of either young men or young women.
Our Bible Curriculum
The Bible shows us who God is, His story of redemption, why we should trust in Him, and how to live in light of His word. The Bible curriculum at Immanuel Christian School introduces children to these concepts and systematically adds to their understanding of God and His word as they grow. As they mature, our curriculum guides them in thinking critically about the world around them, applying the truth of scripture to cultural trends and ideas, and learning how to defend their faith.
Preparing Students for a Life of Faith
In high school, students start every day with Bible class, studying Apologetics, Biblical Theology, Theology of Western Culture, and Worldview Studies on a rotating four-year basis. This interactive class also provides time to discuss complex cultural issues in a setting designed like a college lecture hall, where students apply the truth of Scripture to current events. Through this innovative, daily course, they learn to speak truth with grace, listen well, and defend their faith thoughtfully.
