Fine Arts in High School

In-depth exploration of visual and performing arts

The high school fine arts program at Immanuel Christian School provides students with meaningful opportunities to develop their talents, pursue their passions, and grow in artistic excellence. Whether exploring a new creative discipline or refining existing skills, students can choose from a variety of courses and experiences, including AP Studio Art, photography, band, orchestra, choir, and theater productions. Through performance, collaboration, and creative expression, students are encouraged to use their God-given gifts to glorify Him and serve others.

Spring Production

Each year, students grow their acting skills through productions such as A Midsummer Night’s Dream, The Music Man, The Matchmaker, or The Lion, The Witch, and The Wardrobe. In addition to on-stage roles, students are involved in creating sets and costumes, learning the logistics and inner workings of a theater production.

Ensembles

Symphonic Band, Choir, Chapel Band, and other special ensembles allow students to deepen their musical skills with regular performances and opportunities to lead worship.

Art Electives

AP 2D Art & Design, Photography, 3D Art & Mixed Media, Filmmaking, and other electives allow students to hone their skills and explore new artistic mediums while building their portfolios.

Fine Arts Coffee House

Each fall, students have the opportunity to share their artistic talents during our annual Coffee House. This student-led evening features a variety of performances and creative works, including music, dance, poetry, and visual art. It provides a welcoming setting for students to perform for family and friends, showcase original creations, and celebrate the creativity and gifts of the ICS community.
