Today we remember and honor the sacrifices of many brave men and women. Join us in praying for military families as we celebrate Memorial Day.
"Love looks not with the eyes, but with the mind."
✨Highlights from this year`s high school production of Shakespeare`s "A Midsummer Night`s Dream"✨
We are so proud of our first graders! Students walked down a red carpet and expressively read several fable adaptations for their families at our annual First Grade Readers Theater. 📖🤩
A group of fourth grade students created businesses and sold their hand-made products at a special fair last week. Enterprises included "It`s Time to Slime," "Terrific Trinkets," and "Gooey Goodies" and students of all grades (and teachers!) were lining up for our young entrepreneurs` awesome products.

Second graders have been studying the life cycle of butterflies in science, and yesterday they released butterflies in our courtyard after having watched them emerge from chrysalises. Parents joined us for this fun lesson as students donned bright colors, sported butterfly sunglasses, and enjoyed a special party as the school year comes to a close. 🦋🦋🦋
"All the world’s a stage, and all the men and women merely players."
Exploring Shakespeare`s plays by trying out some famous phrases, posing as Shakespearean statues, and acting out "Julius Caesar."
These boards, this space, the dust and debris: they represent potential.
We`re building for the future, starting construction on the fourth and final floor of our high school. In the last week, the contractor has demolished existing rooms and ceilings and by the end of the week will be framing the new classrooms, science lab, and student spaces.
Together, we will shape, mentor, and develop students with a strong foundation of faith and resolve in order to live a purposeful life of learning, godliness, and service.
Partner with us in prayer and generosity, for the construction work ahead and the students whose hearts, heads, and hands will be shaped and formed by the high school.

Before break, our entire high school spent the day serving across Northern Virginia and D.C. Students visited with senior citizens at Aarondale Retirement and Leewood Healthcare Centers, sorted clothes at Capitol Hill Pregnancy Center, cleaned up at Lake Accotink and Parklawn parks, chatted with 4th students about college at Lynbrook Elementary School, and served in many other ways.
As the weather warms, our kindergarten students have been out in their garden, pulling weeds, tidying up the flower beds, and watering the blooms. The signs of spring bring us physical reminders of the spiritual renewal that we celebrate today. Christ`s death and resurrection mean new life; Easter is a reminder that He is making all things new.
We pray that as you pause to celebrate, you will be reminded anew of Christ`s overwhelming love for you and your students as he hangs on the cross, and his power over death`s sting as he bursts forth out of the grave.
Happy Easter ✝️
Inspiring purposeful lives through experiences that reinforce classroom learning, grow curiosity, and expand students` hearts and minds.
“What are the principles that will determine if you allow a kind of technology in your family? Consider why your student is drawn to a harmful technology and how their need might be met in a helpful way.”
Last night, middle and high school parents gathered at our high school campus to hear from staff about trends in technology, how teens are impacted by these trends, and ways to intentionally disciple their children as technology keeps evolving.
Exploring God`s creation through the scientific disciplines, and glorifying our creator as we understand more about how He masterfully designed the world and everything in it.
We were delighted to welcome our next Head of School, Nathan Stevens, and his family for a visit to our campuses. Mr. Stevens met with faculty and leadership, and led staff devotions from 1 Samuel 15:22, "Has the LORD as great delight in burnt offerings and sacrifices, as in obeying the voice of the LORD? Behold, to obey is better than sacrifice," focusing on the importance of God`s Word as we disciple and educate the next generation.
We can’t wait to welcome him on board in July! Please join us in praying for the Stevens family, and our school community, as we look ahead to what God will continue to do in and through our school.
