Celebrating 30 Years with Mr. Danish
You are invited to help us celebrate Mr. Danish’s thirty years at Immanuel Christian School! Mr. Danish’s influence is significant and his impact on our school has been transformational. We are grateful for his godly influence inside and outside of the classroom. Some of the ways that Mr. Danish has invested his life at ICS include the following:
- Enjoying lunch every day with small groups of students in his office or on the playground. Mr. Danish considers lunch his ‘classroom’ and he enjoys discussing important topics with students such as current events, Bonus Verses, or subjects in the Bible.
- Sharing his considerable knowledge with students on a wide array of subjects such as fossils, art, photography, astronomy, backpacking, wood and fruit carving, art history, archeology, model trains, literature, and classical music.
- Reflecting on his love for the Lord and sharing his knowledge of Scripture. This is apparent to all who know him and is especially evident by the creation of the Bonus Verse Club which took Mr. Danish twelve years to develop.
- Creating unique experiences outside of the classroom that bring subject matters to life such as the 8th grade Wilderness Backpacking Retreat, the 6th grade Star Gazing Party, and the 2nd grade Fossil Hunt. These field trips are just some of the exclusive opportunities at ICS that students have enjoyed as a result of Mr. Danish’s love of education.
We hope to surprise Mr. Danish with a book that is filled with the words of appreciation from current and former parents, employees, and students as they reflect on the unique impact that Mr. Danish had on their life at a special assembly on Tuesday, May 12. Our book will contain twelve chapters with a chapter for each Bonus Verse. We invite you to share your reflections and express your appreciation for Mr. Danish’s dedication and service. The chapters (Bonus Verses) are listed below. Perhaps you would like to share how a specific Bonus Verse has influenced your life. Or, maybe you simply wish to share about a conversation your child had with Mr. Danish or reflect upon an experience that you appreciate. Whatever you share, please know that we thank you for taking time to express your appreciation. Entries due Friday, March 27. You words will be an encouragement Mr. Danish!
