4th Quarter of the school year – Beginning Monday, April 30, we have 5 ½ weeks of school remaining.  Please pray for our students, teachers and staff to be energized and focused to finish well.  May God empower us to do our very best for the Lord in this final portion of the school year.

Upcoming Plays, Performances and Field Trips – May and early June are very busy with special activities for all ICS students. Please pray for them as they prepare for plays and performances, such as the 3rd grade Moving West play, the 4th grade Parts of Speech play, the 5th grade Julius Caesar play, and the Spring Orchestra program, to name a few. Pray for safety for the many field trips during these last several weeks of school.

Student Verse Recitation – Please pray for our students to be diligent to study and learn their Scripture verses well, so that these verses are truly hidden in their hearts for a lifetime. Also, please pray for those students who have taken on the challenge to recite 100 verses this year, for God’s help as they memorize.

Spring Sports – The annual track meet will be held on May 2, at Langley School. Please pray for ICS students to display excellent sportsmanship as they participate with several other schools in this conference.

Pray for the students on our boys’ lacrosse and girls’ softball teams as they practice and enjoy playing lacrosse and softball games this Spring season. We are thankful for these three coaches as they model good sportsmanship to our boys lacrosse and girls’ softball teams.
Boys’ lacrosse coach: Scott Adams
Girls’ Softball coaches: Kate Alvarado, Kevin Cobb

CIA Projects – Pray for each class as they continue their projects in the community and with our partner public schools. Please pray that students would develop true hearts for service through our Character in Action ministries. Please pray for new opportunities to Skype with our sister school in Romania, for smooth technical connections and good communications between classes. Pray for the visit with the Garfield ES students when they come to ICS on May 14.

High School Prayer Initiative – #prayforICS    Join us in thanking God and praying for:

  • GOD GOING BEFORE US – clearly opening and closing doors as we seek His guidance at each step
  • PARENTS AND FRIENDS – who continue to inquire about ICHS and pray for its success
  • FACULTY RECRUITMENT – that God would provide an exceptional team of godly men and women who will teach our high school students
