4th Quarter of the school year – The last quarter of this school year began on Tuesday, April 3. Please pray for our students and teachers to be energized and focused to finish well. May God empower us to do our very best for the Lord in this final quarter of the school year.
7th Grade Field Trip to the Creation Museum in Kentucky – Pray for the 7th graders and the adults going to the Creation Museum in Kentucky, April 11 -13. Pray for safe travels and for this trip to be an educational eye-opening experience for these students as they witness in greater depth how amazing our Creator God is!
Spring Sports – Pray for the students on these two teams as they practice and enjoy playing lacrosse and softball games this Spring season. We are thankful for these three coaches as they model good sportsmanship to our boys lacrosse and girls softball teams.

Admissions – Visiting Day on April 16
Pray for these prospective students who will be with us from 8:30 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. this day. May they be warmly welcomed by their ICS “buddies” who will accompany them that day. May it be a positive experience here at ICS for each one.
CIA Projects – Pray for each class as they continue their projects in the community and with our partner public schools. Please pray that students would develop true hearts for service through our Character in Action ministries. Please pray for new opportunities to Skype with our sister school in Romania, for smooth technical connections and good communications between classes.
High School Prayer Initiative – #prayforICS Join us in thanking God and praying for:
- VISION & FAITHFULNESS – by those who came before us with a vision for ICHS, and who have been faithful in refining that vision.
- IMMANUEL BIBLE CHURCH – leadership and elder support for the high school endeavor.
- FINANCIAL SUPPORT – that has already been given toward the high school project.
- OTHER CHRISTIAN HIGH SCHOOLS – and the opportunity to partner with them and learn from their experience.
- FOR THE RIGHT FACILITIES – that God would lead us to the best property and facility that will allow ICS to fulfill the vision for the high school instructional program.

Parents in Prayer – Please join us on Tuesday mornings at 8:30 a.m. after morning drop-off.
You are invited to join other parents every Tuesday morning at 8:30 a.m. to pray for our students, our teachers and staff. This is a vital ministry that benefits all of us at ICS. Parents meet in B201 at the end of the 8th grade hallway. Your child’s class and teachers will be prayed for specifically during the year. You are welcome to drop in when you can and especially when your child’s class is being featured!
Topics and Scriptures which our Parents in Prayer group will focus on for April 10, 17 and April 24:
April 10 – God is just

April 17 – God is the King of Glory
Scripture: Psalm 24:7-10; Luke 19:38; I Timothy 1:17
To pray for our own children: May ________ tell of the glory of Your kingdom and speak of Your might, so that all may know of Your mighty acts and the glorious splendor of Your kingdom. From Psalm 145:11-12
April 24 – God is Life
Scripture: Nehemiah 9:6; John 5:21; John 6:47-51
To pray for our own children: Make known to _______ the path of life; fill _______ with joy in Your presence, with eternal pleasures at Your right hand. From Psalm 16:11
Please pray especially for these administrators and their requests:
Tina Anderson, Orchestra Director:
- Please pray for preparations for the Orchestra concert on May 18.
- Pray that students will be able to arrive on time so that we can have smooth rehearsals in the early mornings.
- Pray for Mrs. Anderson who is experiencing some health issues.
Sarah Layman, Beginning Strings Orchestra teacher, Music Lesson Coordinator
- Pray that students will continue to learn and be motivated to consistently practice at home in preparation for the spring concert in May.
- For the orchestra program, that even more students will feel led to join the orchestra program next year, as we learn to make a joyful noise unto the Lord!
- Pray that students will practice well to share their accomplishments at the piano recital on May 18th.

Character Traits: Kindness, Obedience, Responsibility
Class Verse: “Be ye kind one to another.” Ephesians 4:32
Projects/Skills: We are working hard on various skills to end the year STRONG! Blending letter sounds into words, memorizing sight words, recognizing and matching rhyming words, and enhancing our comprehension skills are some of the skills we are currently working on.
Prayer Requests: Please pray that we will continue to be the amazing KC caterpillars by loving and serving the Lord. We delight in the hope of Jesus Christ and praise Him above all things!
Third Grade B – Mrs. Ronda Wallis & Mrs. DiAnne Boutz – Teachers; Mrs. Sandy Duncan – TA
Character Traits: Perseverance and Self-Discipline
Class Verse: Phil. 4:13 – “I can do all things through Christ who gives me strength.”
Projects/Skills: We are finishing up our study of Native American tribes. We are also working toward memorization of our multiplication and division facts and mastering more complex multiplication and division problems. Our “Moving West” play will be coming up at the end of May.
Prayer Requests: Please pray that our class will continue to practice self-discipline as we approach a time of the year when 3rd graders often feel restless. Please pray that our class will use challenging social situations to learn compassion and show understanding toward one another.
Sixth Grade B – Ms. Taylor Reagan – Teacher
Character Traits: Perseverance and Encouragement
Class Verse: “He has told you, O man, what is good; and what does the Lord require of you but to do justice, and to love kindness, and to walk humbly with your God?” Micah 6:8
Projects/Skills: We are wrapping up our Renaissance projects and preparing for the Renaissance Fair that will showcase the creative projects of our 6th graders. Fourth quarter we will focus on the study of medieval Japan and tribal Africa. We will wrap up our Bible semester by diving into the book of Isaiah.
Prayer Requests: Please pray that we will all continue to grow in the knowledge of Jesus Christ, and that this knowledge and understanding will fuel our love for and faith in Him. Please pray that we will all finish our school year well, honoring God with our minds and work ethic throughout fourth quarter.
Music Classes (Grades K-6) – Mrs. Cindy Wade, Teacher Music Classes K-6 – Ms. Cindy Wade – Teacher
Character Traits: Joyfulness
Class Verse: “Make a joyful noise unto the Lord, all ye lands”
Projects/Skills: Recorder, bucket drumming, choir performances, special occasion performances
Prayer Requests: Please pray that the students will succeed in their practical application of reading and performing music on the recorder, that the three special performances may be met with their personal bests, and that classroom behavior improves as we finish out the school year.
