Goodbye Mrs. Bradley – Write a note of appreciation
Immanuel Christian School is blessed with dedicated, talented and loving faculty and staff who serve our parents and students. We are sad when we have to say goodbye to those who are retiring. Spring Orchestra Assembly Tomorrow, Friday, May 12
The Spring Orchestra Concert will be Friday, May 12 from 8:45 – 9:30 a.m. in the Worship Center. Come learn about the “Language of Music” with our school orchestra.
Parent Service Hours Due Next Week, May 15
Please record your Parent Service Hours before May 15. To do so, log into ParentsWeb, click on Family Information and then your name tab. Click on Service Hours, then “ADD” on the first line for the current school year. Select your service description, enter the hours, note the task and the contact person (in “Verified By”) for whom you worked. Families should serve 20 hours total. Parents who enrolled their children after September should pro-rate their required hours at the rate of 2 hours per month. Single parents serve half the number of required hours. Parents who have not turned in their hours by the end of the school year will be billed for the unserved hours. Please contact Becky Klapmust if you have any questions.
Sports Awards Night: Thursday, May 18
The Sports Awards Program for the soccer, basketball, softball, lacrosse and cross country seasons will be Thursday, May 18 from 7:30 – 9:00 p.m. in the ICS gym. We look forward to seeing you there as our athletes are recognized for participating in our sports program. There will be a dessert fellowship following the presentation of awards. Those with last names beginning with A-M please bring fruit and N-Z bring dessert. Dress is nice jeans (or better) and no t-shirts, please.
Return Library Books by May 19
It’s that time again! All ICS library books not related to class assignments need to be returned. All library books must be returned by Friday, May 19 to avoid incurring a fine. Lists of overdue items will be sent to parents and posted in all classrooms as a reminder to students. Failure to return books will result in a fine for the replacement cost of the book plus a $5.00 processing fee per title. Unpaid fines will result in report cards being withheld. Questions? Used Uniform Giveaway Coming Soon: May 24-26
The Uniform Giveaway will take place Wednesday, May 24 – Friday, May 26. Used LANDS’ END clothing in excellent condition may be brought in. Racks will be available in the breezeway for hanging up your donations. ONLY Lands’ End items will be offered with the following exception: plaid kilts and jumpers from Flynn & O’Hara.

- Uniform Giveaway: Wednesday – Friday: May 24, 25 & 26

100 Verse Recitation
There is an opportunity at the end of the 4th quarter for students who wish to quote additional verses to total 100 verses for the year. A special Bible, which the student selects, is awarded for this achievement. Your student’s Bible teacher sent home information to the student about the 100 verses recitation. Please note that all additional verses must be printed and submitted to the Bible teacher by May 12. All students who want to recite 100 verses must complete them by June 5 for all grades. Please contact your student’s Bible teacher for additional information.

Faculty vs. Student Softball Game will be Wednesday, May 24 at 3:45 p.m.! Parents and students are welcome to come out and watch the ICS faculty take on the ICS girls’ and boys’ softball teams.

Sports Day is coming! This is one of the students’ favorite days of the school year! It takes many volunteers to pull together this day of fun, camaraderie and fitness for our students. We need your help to make this day special.
- To volunteer and sign up to help with lunch: Be watching for a ParentSquare post for you to sign up for a time slot.
- Grades 1 & 2 will enjoy activities coordinated by Lisa Fisher, while grades 3-8 will continue the usual Sports Day activities with Travis Briggs.
- Students and teachers will wear their Serve-A-Thon t-shirts from the fall.
- A hot dog lunch will be served to students, volunteers, siblings, alumni and teachers. Volunteers may use this time for Parent Service Hours.
- Don’t forget sunscreen!
- Faculty vs. 8th grade volleyball game will be in the gym at 1:30 p.m.

Alumni Invited back to ICS on Sports Day, June 8
ICS Alumni are invited back to campus to join us for lunch starting at 11:45 a.m. and then compete in the annual Alumni vs. the 8th grade volleyball game on Sports Day, Thursday, June 8. Please RSVP here.

Lunch and Recess Help Needed
Parent volunteers are needed to help in the lunch room and at recess from 11:30 a.m. – 1:30 p.m. daily (K-4: 11:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. and grades 5-8: 12:45 – 1:30 p.m.). While you help, you can eat lunch with your child, see them interact at recess and get to know fellow parents and your child’s classmates. We are in need of regular volunteers to help one day a week or every other week. Your help gives our teachers a little break in the middle of their day to enjoy their lunch. To help with lunch, contact Lola Hollenbeck, Lunchroom Coordinator, and to help with recess, contact Julie Neville.
ICS Basketball Camp is June 19-23: Early bird pricing ends Friday, May 12
Mark your calendars! ICS will again host its annual ‘funtastic’ basketball camp from Monday – Friday, June 19-23. Camp will be held in the ICS Gym from 8:30 a.m.– 3:00 p.m. Basketball camp is for both boys and girls entering 4th – 9th grades. Click here for registration form.
