Prayer Guide: May 1 – 19, 2017

Our 2016-17 Bonus Verse:

“For we do not have a high priest who is unable to sympathize with our weaknesses, but one who in every respect has been tempted as we are, yet without sin. Let us then with confidence draw near to the throne of grace, that we may receive mercy and find grace to help in time of need.”

Hebrews 4:15-16

Please note: As you utilize this Prayer Guide as a tool to pray for Immanuel Christian School, its students and teachers, keep in mind what a privilege it is to come before the LORD and his throne of grace.

Prayer is the easiest and hardest of all things; the simplest and the sublimest; the weakest and the most powerful; its results lie outside the range of human possibilities-they are limited only by the omnipotence of God. ~ E.M. Bounds

ICS FIESTA, May 5 – Please pray for the committee as they finalize details for “FIESTA 2017”.  Pray that many people would join us at this special event. We look forward to a wonderful evening of fun and fellowship. May God bless this effort so that essential funds for the school would be raised.  Please pray for the speakers at our FIESTA as they strive to effectively convey our message to all in attendance.

Upcoming Plays, Performances and Field Trips – May and early June are very busy with special activities for all of our students. Please pray for all of the students as they prepare for plays and performances, such as the 3rd grade Moving West play, the 4th grade Parts of Speech play, the 5th grade Julius Caesar play, and the Spring Orchestra program, to name a few. Pray for safety for the many field trips during these last several weeks of school.

Student Verse Recitation – Please pray for our students to be diligent to study and learn their Scripture verses well, so that these verses are truly hidden in their hearts for a lifetime. Also, please pray for those students who have taken on the challenge to recite 100 verses this year, for God’s help as they memorize.

Admissions – Our last First Look Friday will be Friday, May 19. Continue to pray for God to bring the new families to our school that will benefit from what ICS has to offer.

CIA Projects – Pray for each class as they continue their ongoing projects in the community and with our partner public schools.  Please pray that students would develop true hearts for service through our Character in Action ministries.

Praise to God that 4th grade students have had several good Skype sessions with our sister school in Romania.
