Prayer Guide: May 9-27, 2016

“Who shall ascend the hill of the LORD?
And who shall stand in his holy place?
He who has clean hands and a pure heart,
who does not lift up his soul to what is false
and does not swear deceitfully.”    Psalm 24:3-4

Fourth Quarter of the school year – The final quarter of the school year is moving along quickly!  Please pray for our students and teachers to be energized and focused each day. May God empower us to do our very best for the Lord!

Upcoming Plays, Performances and Field Trips – May and early June are very busy with special activities for all of our students.  Please be praying for all of the classes as they prepare for plays and performances, such as the 3rd grade Moving West play, the 4th grade Parts of Speech play, the 5th grade Julius Caesar play, the Spring Orchestra program and the Elementary Choir performance, to name a few.  Please also pray for safety for the many field trips during these last several weeks of school.

Music Events – Please pray for Cindy Wade and the students as they prepare for their Spring musical on May 20. Pray also for Sue Agazzi and the orchestra students who have a concert on May 13.

Eighth Graders – Please pray for our 8th grade students and their parents as they make decisions about what high school to attend.  Pray for God’s gracious and clear leading in these students’ lives.

Admissions – Our last Open House of the year will be May 13.  Pray that God will bring to our school the new families that He desires to have at ICS for His purposes.

Sports Awards – Pray for Travis Briggs as he plans his first Sports Awards program for May 19.  There are many details and logistics to coordinate.  Pray that the Lord would be honored for the way He has worked in the life of each athlete.

Sports Day – Please pray for Lisa Fisher and Cindy Wade and their committee, as they prepare for this special outdoor event for our students on Thursday, June 9.   May God give us good weather and many volunteers to help make this a successful and fun day.

Student Verse Recitation – Please pray for our students to be diligent to study and learn their Scripture verses well, so that these verses are truly hidden in their hearts for a lifetime.  Also, please pray for those students who have taken on the challenge to recite 100 verses this year, for God’s help as they memorize.
