Fourth Quarter of the school year –
Here we are in the last quarter of this school year!  Please pray for our students and teachers to be energized and focused to finish well.  May God empower us to do our very best for the Lord in this final quarter of the year.

Eighth Graders – Please pray for our 8th grade students and their parents as they make decisions about what high school to attend.  Pray for God’s gracious and clear leading in these students’ lives.

Admissions – Please pray for good attendance at this next event: First Look Friday on May 13. Please continue to pray for God to bring to ICS the families of His choice for next school year.

Visiting Day on April 21st – This day is designed for prospective students to spend the morning here at school.  Please pray for several students to come that day, and that our ICS students would be welcoming to them.

Spring Sports – Softball and lacrosse teams are in full swing for the season. Please pray for these students and coaches as they train, for safety on the fields, for good sportsmanship, and for good weather!

Elementary Choir – Please pray for Cindy Wade as she prepares and directs the Choir for their Spring musical on May 20.

Parents in Prayer – Please join us on Tuesday mornings at 8:30 a.m. after morning drop-off, in Room B201.
You are welcome to drop in when you can, especially when your child’s class is being featured.

April 26 – God is the Miracle Worker
I Chronicles 16:8-12; Psalm 77:11-14; Jeremiah 32:20

To pray for our own children:  May _________ remember the deeds of the LORD; May ________ remember Your miracles of long ago.  May ________ meditate on all Your works and consider all Your mighty deeds.

May 3 – God is Patient
Galatians 5:22-23; I Timothy 1:16; II Peter 3:9

From Erin Smith, Upper School Principal:

  • For the Upper School students to be growing in personal relationships with God
  • For teachers and students during standardized testing

From Eleane McCoy, Lower School Principal:

  • For all of our students to finish well!
  • For families who are considering ICS for next year
  • For Mrs. Kelli Harris, (2A teacher) and her family as they anticipate her husband Brian being deployed for nine months starting in a few weeks
  • For Mrs. Monika Cohen and her family as they make plans to move to Texas where her husband has been since February
  • Please pray for the hiring process for new staff and faculty members

Projects/Skills:  We have recently added worms to our garden and will soon add vegetable plants.
Prayer Requests:  Please pray for a strong finish to what has been a great kindergarten year of discovery.

3B Class – Mrs. Ronda Wallis – Teacher; Mrs. Ingrid Gleason – TA

Character Traits: Perseverance and Self-Discipline
Class Verse: “I can do all things through Christ who gives me strength.” Philippians 4:13
Projects/Skills: We will be making Mother’s Day presents for moms, and murals for Native American tribes.  Our upcoming math focus will be fractions.  In English, we are learning the parts of speech.
Prayer Requests: Pray for the children as they take the Terra Nova standardized tests next week.  Our “Moving West” play preparations will begin soon.  Please pray that we finish this year with strength and enthusiasm.

6B Class – Mrs. Katie Deering – Teacher

Character Traits: Perseverance and Encouragement
Class Verse:  “He has told you, O man, what is good; and what does the Lord require of you but to do justice, and to love kindness, and to walk humbly with your God?”  Micah 6:8
Projects/Skills: We just finished our Renaissance Fair which showcased the creative projects of our 6th graders. This quarter we will focus on the study of medieval Japan and tribal Africa with two different projects in the TEC lab.
Prayer Requests:  Please pray that we maintain our focus during this 4th quarter so that we finish strong.
