Bidding for the ICS AUCTION begins at 9:00 a.m. tomorrow!

In order to bid on items in our Silent Auction for our 40th Anniversary Gala tomorrow (April 15) please download the FREE app (Handbid) from the Apple iTunes App Store or the Google Play store onto your smart phone and create an account. After you download the app you can browse our amazing Auction items and even begin bidding on items starting at 9:00 a.m. tomorrow. You can bid on items in the Silent Auction even if you do not attend the auction. Click to take a look at the auction booklet to read more details on the auction items. Don’t miss out on bidding on some great experiences for your child to enjoy with a teacher like:

Congratulations to Students Quoting 3rd Quarter Bible Verses

Attached is a list of students who have successfully quoted all of their verses for 3rd quarter. A list of students who have reached this milestone is also published in each classroom. Congratulations students!

100 Verse Recitation

There is an opportunity at the end of the 4th quarter for students who wish to quote additional verses to total 100 verses for the year. A special Bible, which the student selects, is awarded at the graduation ceremony for this achievement. Please note that all additional verses must be printed and submitted to their Bible teacher by May 13. All students who want to recite 100 verses must recite them by Monday, June 6. Please contact your student’s Bible teacher for specific details.

Visiting Day – April 21! Invite a friend to attend ICS for a day!

Do you know of a family who is considering a change to private Christian school education? Perhaps they have considered Immanuel but feel they need more information? We are offering a great opportunity to show what ICS is all about. Current 3rd through 7th grade students are encouraged to invite a friend to school on Thursday, April 21st, from 8:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. All visitors will leave before lunch. TerraNova Student Achievement Testing: April 22 – May 2

Students in grades 3-8 will participate in spring TerraNova testing April 22-29 and May 2. There is no preparation needed except for a good breakfast, a restful sleep and two No. 2 pencils with erasers. It is extremely important that students arrive on time. Please do NOT arrange appointments during the school day for this week of testing. Students with unexcused absences will be retested for a fee of at least $25 per test section. Please see the Parent/Student Handbook for absentee information.

You are Invited to the Immanuel’s Got Talent Show: Friday, April 29th

Join us for the 5th annual Immanuel’s Got Talent talent show! There will be an all-school assembly on Friday, April 29 from 1:30 – 3:00 p.m. in the Worship Center to see performances from students in grades 4-8. You may even see some staff show off their skills! Parents, family members and friends from all grade levels are invited to attend what is sure to be an exciting event! Serve-A-Thon/Sports Day T-Shirt: Reorder Now

Serve-A-Thon t-shirts are worn on Sports Day by every student. If your child has lost their t-shirt or has outgrown it, you can order one for $10. DEADLINE for orders is Monday, May 2. Parent Service Hours Due May 16

Please record your Parent Service Hours before May 16. To do so, log into ParentsWeb, click on Family Information and then your name tab. Click on Service Hours, then “ADD” on the first line for the current school year. Select your service description, enter the hours, note the task and the contact person (in “Verified By”) for whom you worked. Families should serve 20 hours total. Parents who enrolled their children after September should pro-rate their required hours at the rate of 2 hours per month. Single parents serve half the number of required hours. Parents who have not turned in their hours by the end of the school year will be billed for the unserved hours. Please contact Sharon Dotson if you have any questions.

Retirement Tributes Needed for Mrs. Beall and Mrs. Marsh: Deadline June 1

We will be celebrating the retirements of two or our librarians, Carol Beall and Ann Marsh, in June. We welcome your tributes for their faithful service! The deadline for these tributes is June 1. Please click here to send your words of appreciation.

Capital Athletic Conference Track Meet: Tuesday, May 3

The annual Capital Athletic Conference (CAC) track meet will be held again this year at Langley School on Tuesday, May 3. We need lots of parent volunteers to be timers, ribbon writers and to help get the kids to the right events. No training is required and you will receive Parent Service Hours for volunteering. We will depart ICS at 11:00 a.m. and be at Langley School from noon to approximately 5:30 p.m. You may volunteer for the day or any amount of time that you are available. Please contact Travis Briggs, our Athletic Director, as soon as possible to sign up. It is a premier event for the CAC and is lots of fun for both the kids and adult volunteers.

Bonus Verse Wristband Replacements – Now Only $1.00

There is one free wristband for every ICS student who memorizes and recites a Bonus Verse to Mr. Danish. After the initial free wristband, lost or broken wristbands can be replaced for $1 at the school office. Students needing a wristband replacement should bring exact change to the office and must be able to recite the verse in order to purchase a replacement.

Thomas Jefferson Techstravaganza 2016 – Saturday, April 23

We are very excited to share that Techstravaganza 2016 is just around the corner. This is a FUN day event for students in grades 3-8 to explore science, technology, math and engineering. Activities will include age appropriate hands-on science experiments, STEM demonstrations, meet the scientists and more. Click here for more information.

ICS Basketball Camp: June 20-24

ICS basketball camp will be Monday – Friday, June 20-24. Camp will be held in the ICS Gym from 8:30 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. Camp is limited to both boys and girls entering 4th – 9th grades. Click here to register.

Vacation Bible School at IBC: June 27-July 1

Mark your calendars for June 27 – July 1 for the week of Vacation Bible School.
• AM Program – 9:30 a.m. – Noon (4 years old by 9/30/16 – entering 3rd grade)
• PM Program – 7:00 – 9:00 p.m. (entering 4th – entering 6th grades)
Registration begins May 1st. $20 per child. Hope to see you there!
