Thank you, parents, for your generosity!
The faculty and staff send a BIG thank you to parents for the generous show of appreciation during Teacher Appreciation Week. The luncheon was delicious. The Upper School teachers appreciated the great snack food that was set out for them during the week as well. Thank you for showing your support in tangible ways to the ICS team. We are truly blessed to have such great faculty and staff at ICS and equally blessed to have so many wonderful parents show support for the ICS team throughout the entire school year. We thank the PTF, especially Kay Hoffman and Kelly Pinzon for organizing this big event. What an amazing team you are!

Important Illness Update from School Clinic:
We are seeing a large number of students at school with fevers, sore throats and upset stomachs. In addition, we have had some cases of positively diagnosed Type A and B flu. If your child is complaining about any of the above symptoms, or feels achy and unusually tired, please be sure to take their temperature before going to school, and please err on the side of caution in deciding whether or not to keep them home if your child is just “not themselves”. Your child is not allowed to come to school if they have vomited or had diarrhea within the last 24 hours. They must also stay home if they have had a fever of 100 degrees (or higher) within the last 24 hours. They may return to school after being fever-free for 24 hours without the use of fever reducing medication (Tylenol or Motrin or cold medications that contain these products). Thank you in advance for doing your part to decrease the spread of contagious illness at ICS.
4th Grade had a FANTASTIC Skype session with our sister school in Romania
The students did a really good job being polite, engaged patient and eager to meet their new friends. A few highlights of the session were: realizing they both like to play soccer, that pizza is a universal food, that we all have similar pets, praying for each other in English and Romanian, and sharing John 3:16 in Romanian and then saying it together in English. We are so thankful to have a very good connection. We hope to skype with them again soon.
