April 15th ICS Gala – Please pray for the Gala committee as they finalize details for “A Night at the Ballpark”. Please pray that many people would join us to celebrate our school’s 40th anniversary at the Gala. Pray that in addition to a special evening of fellowship, we would be able to raise essential funds for the school. Please pray for the speakers at our Gala that they would effectively convey our message to all in attendance.

Admissions – Please pray for good attendance at this next event: First Look Friday on April 15.  Please continue to pray for God to bring to ICS the families of His choice for next school year.

Elementary Choir – Please pray for Cindy Wade as she prepares and directs the Choir for their Spring musical on May 20, and also their brief performance at the ICS Gala, the evening of April 15.

Parent Teacher Fellowship – Please pray especially for Kay Hoffman, our current PTF coordinator, and her team of parents, as they work together to plan upcoming events.

Visiting Day on April 17 – This day is designed for prospective students to spend the morning here at school. Please pray for several students to come that day, and that our ICS students would be welcoming to them.

Spring Sports – Softball and lacrosse teams have begun to practice for the season. Please pray for these students and coaches as they train, for safety on the fields, and for good weather!

April 5 – God is the Master Planner
Scripture: Psalm 136:1-9; Ephesians 3:16-19; 1 John 3:1
To pray for our own children: May ________ love You, the Lord our God, with all his/her heart and with all his/her soul and with all his/her mind and with all his/her strength. From Mark 12:30

April 12 – God is Merciful
Scripture: Deuteronomy 4:31; Daniel 9:9; I Peter 1:3-5
To pray for our own children: May ________ be merciful, just as his/her Father is merciful. From Luke 6:36

Please pray for the following ICS Staff:

Specifically, please pray:

• For wise speech as we seek to represent Christ well
• To demonstrate the joy of the LORD as we interact with faculty, parents and visitors at Reception and patiently answer questions that require knowing endless details about happenings at our school
• That the learning curve of the new phone system will be smooth
• For effective management of all the details related to end-of-the-year activities

Second Grade B Class – Mrs. Joyce Wallen – Teacher; Mrs. Lisa Oliver – TA 

Character Traits: Honesty and Gentleness
Class Verse: Philippians 2:4 – “Let each of you look not only to his own interests, but also to the interests of others.”
Projects/Skills: Subtraction Facts/Finishing up our Family Books/Writing complete sentences and combining them into a cohesive paragraph.
Prayer Requests: That those students who are skilled would show humility and patience towards those who are not as competent. May they all continue learning to be a blessing to others.

Art Classes – Amber Seat, Teacher
Character Traits: Encouraging one another, and using their creative gifts to honor God.
Class Verse: Exodus 35:35 “God has filled them with skill to do all kinds of work as craftsmen, designers, embroiderers in blue, purple, scarlet yarn and fine linen, and weavers –all of them master craftsmen and designers.”
Projects/Skills: All of our students have been very busy in the Art room. Most classes have completed their pottery units for the year, several painting and drawing units, and are currently working on a weaving or sewing unit. The 5th grade reed baskets are currently on display in the upstairs art display case. This year kindergarten is coming to the Art room for the spring semester. It has been fun to get to know them and see their creativity at work with some new and unique art projects.
Prayer Requests: Please pray that our students will seek to honor God through their creativity, encouraging one another and always doing their best for the glory of God.

Music Classes (Grades 1-6) – Heidi Joye, Teacher

Character Traits: Joy, skillfulness, creativity & confidence
Class Verse: Psalm 33:3 (ESV) “Sing to him a new song; play skillfully on the strings, with loud shouts.”
Projects/Skills: Singing, listening, playing instruments, reading notation, recorder, xylophone & drum; making thumb piano project for 6th grade.
Prayer Requests: Pray for students to find joy in music making & discover their own God-given talent to use for his glory. We are also in need of more drums and a piano.
