Serve-A-Thon: Final Update
Thank you for helping to make our Serve-A-Thon a success! Our students served others as they cleaned classrooms, worked in parks, washed fire trucks, packed school supplies for needy students and built relationships with students in two area public schools. This is a great opportunity for our students to put their faith into action and focus on others. Our students will continue to serve the community throughout the year in various classroom projects.
Additionally, our fundraising efforts during Serve-A-Thon help us raise essential funds for ICS and for Christian education around the world. Because of your generosity we raised over $64,000! Thank you for contacting family and friends and asking them to support our classes. Our students celebrated their efforts during an all-school celebration which featured student testimonials, video and music. It was a wonderful celebration and culminated with a donut treat for students. A special thank you to parent volunteers who shopped, cooked and helped make this treat a success. Thank you!
ICS Families Bless Annandale Terrace Elementary Families with Generosity!
Every year we are blown away by the generosity of our ICS families. We consistently donate many Thanksgiving boxes full of food, decorations, games and a $25 gift card to Annandale Terrace Elementary School. This year we donated 23 boxes. The ATES staff is always so appreciative of this amazing partnership. They cannot say enough about the difference this gift makes for their families.
Thank you to each of you who donated to your child’s class Thanksgiving baskets. When we all give a little, God uses it to help many. The ICS students made precious pictures and cards to personalize the gifts. “Make a joyful noise to the Lord, all the earth! Serve the Lord with gladness! For the Lord is good; his steadfast love endures forever, and his faithfulness to all generations.” Psalm 100:1,2,5
