Immanuel Christian School is dedicated to providing

our students with a high quality education taught

from a biblical worldview. Our curriculum addresses

the content, cognitive, expressive, and spiritual goals

in an integrated and relevant manner. Our academic programs meet or exceed recognized standards of learning.

The most important part of our curriculum, the "Living Curriculum," is our teaching staff. “Living Curriculum” teachers are not just Christians, but mature, growing, passionate followers of Christ who desire to make a spiritual as well as an academic impact. Our teachers inspire students to use their knowledge, skills and talents to serve God throughout life. The Living Curriculum is incorporated into our Written Curriculum.

Our curriculum is diverse and traditional. We do not purchase a packaged system. Our textbook selection includes Christian and secular publishers and is based on faculty, parent and administrative recommendation with a focus on critical thinking and problem solving skills.

Bible curriculum is taught at every grade level. Chapel activities are scheduled throughout the year. Character lessons are taught throughout the curriculum and students participate in service projects each semester.

Language arts (listening, speaking, reading and writing) are integrated throughout the curriculum using appropriate literature, vocabulary and comprehension skills. Biblical principles are integrated throughout the curriculum. The language arts units are based on social studies themes. Spanish is taught from Kindergarten through 8th Grade. "Hands-on" science focuses on scientific thinking strategies and includes the use of our science lab.

Music appreciation, art and computer literacy are taught throughout the curriculum. Physical education classes are conducted in our gym and on playing fields. In addition to the regular music appreciation classes, private lessons are available in piano, percussion, wind, and string instruments (at an additional cost) during school hours. Beginning, intermediate and advanced orchestras are also available.
